CAMBRIDGE—Cambridge Telcom, Inc. has acquired Global Medical Informatics (GMI), formerly known as New Century Global Solutions, LLC. The full-service health information management firm is based in Bettendorf, Iowa, and provides comprehensive services to regional medical clinics, offices and hospitals in eastern Iowa.
CAMBRIDGE—Despite all Henry County departments coming in under budget for the past fiscal year, the county still faces a $500,000 deficit, which concerns members of the county board.
CAMBRIDGE—Geothermal rooftop units were put in place Tuesday, July 20, at Cambridge Elementary School. The project should be completed by Friday, July 30, said Superintendent Tom Akers. “The well fields are almost ready and they are hoping to run a water test Thursday, July 22,” he stated. “There may be some little comestic things that need to be finished after July 30, but otherwise we should be good.”
CAMBRIDGE—Pre-kindergarten will be retained as a full-time program at the Cambridge Elementary School since Illinois will reportedly increase funding for early childhood education, according to Tom Akers, superintendent of schools. The announcement was made during the Cambridge School Board meeting Wednesday, July 14.
