    The Ridgewood Spartans softball team picked up a road win in Abingdon on Wednesday,?March 20, but it wasn’t easily earned.

    Both the Spartans and the Commandos remained scoreless until the third inning, where both teams scores one run and remain tied. That would be the only run scored for Abingdon.

    Ridgewood would score again in the fifth inning, as sophomore Kelsey Speer knocked in senior Ella Teel, and again in the seventh as junior Ashley Kruger chalked up an RBI as Speer crossed home plate. The Spartans won the game 3-0. Senior Dani Lessard was the winning pitcher.

    After a big win on the road, the 3-0 Spartans hosted the Rockridge Rockets on?Thursday,?March 31.    

    Unfortunately, the Spartans only had two hits in five innings, one by Kylie Speer and one by Dani Lessard. Ridgewood ultimately lost to the Rockets 11-0.
