William Paul “Rusty” House, 76, of Cambridge died Friday, April 1, 2011, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to the family. Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd.     William Paul “Rusty” House, 76, of Cambridge died Friday, April 1, 2011, at his home.

    Rusty was born Oct. 26, 1934, in La Belle, Mo., the son of William Albert and Ora (Miller) House.  He married Shirley Ann Holland on Dec. 6, 1952, in La Belle.  She preceded him in death on March 17, 1997.

    Rusty was employed as a truck driver for Old Admiral Merchants in Moline, Munson Transportation in Monmouth and G.F. Lacaeyse in Grinnell, Iowa, for 52 years, retiring in 2001. 

    He enjoyed camping, and tinkering with his truck.  He also enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren.

    Rusty was a great guy who will be missed by his family and friends.  If you did not know him or like him it was your loss. Mr. Wonderful.

    Survivors include a daughter, Mary Palmer “Lil Goil” and William “Meathead” Palmer, son-in-law by marriage but a son in his heart; grandchildren, Justin (Kathy) Palmer of Colona and Quentin (Nikki) Palmer of Cambridge; great -grandchildren, J.P. Palmer, Morgan Palmer and Brodin “Little Scotty” Palmer; sister, Phyllis Smith of La Belle;  special friend, Char Wiles of Cambridge and many nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Daryl House and sister, Suetta Coffman.
