Ridgewood Spartans played Annawan-Wethersfield Tuesday, April 12, in Annawan, losing 9-8 in a game that saw their 8-3 lead evaporate in the bottom of the sixth when Annawan-Wethersfield tied it at 8’s and then scored the winning run on a two out single in the bottom of the seventh.

    Dustin Johnson hit a three-run shot over the left field fence in the sixth. Tyler Nimrick, Alex Main
and Andrew Steider had three hits each for the night.

    Steider took the loss in relief.

    The boys then traveled to Peoria to play under the lights of OBrien Field Thursday, April 14, against Annawan-Wethersfield. It was all Annawan-Wethersfield spanking the Spartans 12-1 with Dusty Werner taking the loss.
