Ridgewood Spartans girls’ basketball team reigned victorious 51-33 in their Class 1A match up with Midland at the ROWVA Regional Tournament Wednesday night, Feb. 8.

 

    The girls basketball team’s season came to an end Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Class 1A Regional title game at ROWVA.


    Ridgewood Spartans girls’ basketball team reigned victorious in their Class 1A match up with Midland at the ROWVA Regional Tournament Wednesday night, Feb. 8.

    The Lady Spartans were led by Ashley Kruger who sank 17 points in the 51-33 win.

    Madison Miller and Annie Gelaude scored 10 and eight points each, as Morgan Green and Ashley Collins each scored three points.

    Taylor Brooks finished the night with six points as Jasmine Jefko supplied four in the Ridgewood win.

    The girls basketball team’s season came to an end Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Class 1A Regional title game at ROWVA.

    Ridgewood took on the Wethersfield Geese, and found themselves facing a season ending 66-32 loss.

    The Geese built an early lead going on a 12-8 run and finishing the half 25-15.

    The Spartans tried to fight back, but found themselves down 41-21 after the third quarter, a deficit that they could never recover from.

    Kruger led the squad again netting 18 points. Brooks added four points and Katie Miller had three.

    Gelaude and Hannah Garrett finished with two points each.

    Scoring one point each were Sabrina Medley, Green and Collins.
