    Massey-Harris was the featured tractor for the 2010 Cambridge Tractor Show held Saturday, Aug. 7 in downtown Cambridge. A total of over 254 entries were entered and displayed in the day-long event.

    The feature tractor chosen for the 2011 show was selected by Cambridge Mayor Jim Crouch and will be the 1952 Farmall Super M White Demonstrator owned by Dave and Angie Charlet of Cambridge. The tractor has been restored by Charlet and Chad Hutchinson, both of Cambridge.

    Results from games held during the tractor show were released.

    Winners of the Mark the Egg  race included: Jim Gradert, Cambridge, first place, with a Ford 5000 tractor. Second place was won by Michael Beam, Cambridge, Chad Taylor, Cambridge, took third place, followed by Rick Franck, Cambridge, fourth place and Kenny Beam, Cambridge, fifth place. Other participants included Matt Wagher and Adam Herrick, both of Cambridge, and Chris Frisk, Atkinson.

    Winners of the In the Box race included: Rick Franck, first, with a Farmall 300 tractor. Second place was won by Chad Taylor, Cambridge, Justin “Tank” Johnson, Cambridge, took third place, Dale Roosa, Ipava, Illinois, fourth and Michael Beam, Cambridge, fifth. Other participants included Matt Wagher, Adam Herrick, Ken Beam, Chris Frisk and Jim Gradert, all of Cambridge.

    Winners of the Slowest Race with Hydro were Travis Fransene, Cambridge, first place and Bob Steele, Geneseo, second place.

    Winners of the Slowest Race without Hydro were Jo DeKeyrell, Taylor Ridge, first, Judy Jacobsen and Ron Jacobsen, Andover, second and third respectively, Rick Franck, Cambridge, fourth and Jacob Steele, Geneseo, fifth.

    The person who entered the show that traveled the farthest distance was Dale Roosa, Ipava, bringing four Farmall tractors with him.

    The most entries category was won by Jeff, Karen and Josh Hutchinson, all of Cambridge, with their 15 Massey Harris tractors and two John Deere tractors entered in the event.

    Pedal pull winners for ages two and five included Talan Fransene, Emily Downing, Rylee Hutchinson, Marshall Secymore and Gavin Franks.

    Pedal pull winners for ages three and four included Rowdy Beam, Cambridge, first, Tyler Chamberlain, Geneseo, second, Jade Markey, Cambridge, third, Alex Davis, California, fourth and Broderick Lilly, Andover, fifth.

    Other pedal pull participants included Kholby Grant, Cambridge, Gavin VerHeecke, Woodhull, Malcolm Secymore, Cambridge, Art Smutzer, Cambridge, Ethan Ewing, Moline and Jake Conrad, Galva.

    The Farmall pedal tractor was won by Rowdy Beam of Cambridge and was donated by Democratic sheriff candidate Tim Wise.

    The hog raffle winners included Dyann Wancket of Annawan and Rudy’s of Cambridge. The hogs were donated by Randy Edmund, Cambridge.

    Raffle prizes were won by Jake Johnson, Cambridge, Jeff Hasson, East Moline, Dwaine VanMeenen, Cambridge, Dean Olson, Geneseo, Ray Krantz, Geneseo, Travis Fransene, Cambridge, Betty Goff, Cambridge, Robert Steele, Geneseo and Carsen DeKeyrel, Taylor Ridge.

    Other raffle winners included Matt Wagher, Cambridge, Steve Mueller, Edgington, Chris Frisk, Atkinson, Linda Lievens, Cambridge, Jim Crouch, Cambridge, Danita Harrison, Edgington, Darrell Hutchinson, Akinson, Linda Doubler, Cambridge and Grant Hatch, Colona.

    The 50/50 raffle was won by Oddie Marshall, DeWitt, Iowa, who donated the winnings back to the tractor show.

    Coordinator Karen Hutchinson said it was a fun-filled family day for everyone and they are already planning for next year’s show.
