I wanted to take a moment to say I appreciate those who attended my hog roast fund-raiser on July 18 in the Geneseo City Park. It was a time of great food and great fellowship.
This event was a huge success that allowed me to meet people from virtually every corner of Henry County. I enjoyed talking with everybody, listening to their suggestions and answering their questions.
Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart was the special guest speaker at my event. Having Sheriff Dart participate in this event was particularly important because the current administration has a contract to house Cook County inmates at the Henry County Jail when needed.
I look forward to maintaining this relationship and making it stronger and even more prosperous for Henry County, so we can secure our correction officers’ jobs, which seem to be under constant threat of layoffs.
