Preparing the Thanksgiving dinner can be intimidating. Fortunately, first graders at Cambridge Elementary School are turkey experts, and they are willing to share their tips. These recipes are from the students of Lori Foley and Christi Reed. We are publishing them over four days, from Monday through Thursday. This are Monday's recipes.

Preparing the Thanksgiving dinner can be intimidating. Fortunately, first graders at Cambridge Elementary School are turkey experts, and they are willing to share their tips. These recipes are from the students of Lori Foley and Christi Reed. We are publishing them over four days, from Monday through Thursday.

Shadden Fry — First I would put turkey seasoning on it. Put it in the oven and then let it cook for a little while. Cook it really hot. Eat it with corn and potatoes with mommy and daddy. I am thankful for my mom and my dad and my sisters.

Cambell Casteele — First you have to catch the turkey. Don’t leave the feathers on it. Put stuffing and corn in it. Put it in the oven at maybe 50-70 degrees for about a half an hour ,maybe an hour. Take it out of the oven. Eat it with a fork and knife. Eat it with mashed potatoes and gravy and a little bit of vegetables. I will eat with family. I am thankful for my family.

Jayden Myers — First catch it and take its head and eyeballs off. Put it either on the grill, in a pot, or in a pan. Then put turkey seasoning on it and maybe barbecue sauce. Cook it for 6 minutes at 400 degrees. Eat corn with your turkey. I will eat with my cousins my mom and dad and my sister of course. I am thankful for almost everything.

Dylan Brown — First you have to kill the turkey. Then you need to bake it at 101 degrees for 2 minutes. Eat the turkey with a fork and a knife. Eat it with a little bit of sauce. I will eat with my mom, my dad and my sister. I am most thankful for God and Jesus.

Dean Norin — First I would put it in the oven for 1/2hour at 50 degrees like my dad does. I would put turkey seasoning on it. Cut the turkey up and serve it with a plate. Take the head off and the feet and take the heart out. Eat it with stuffing and that’s all. I’ll eat with Dad, Mom, and Jace. I am thankful for God and Jesus.

Ellie McMeekan — Kill a turkey. Then take the feathers off and then I will cook it in the oven for 20 minutes at 30 degrees. Eat it with salt and pepper and sauce. Ummm eat apple pie after your turkey. I will eat with my family. I am thankful for God.

Milo Johnson — Kill a turkey. Cook it in the oven umm for a thousand hours at 23 degrees. Take it out of the oven and put salt on it. Eat it with chicken and key lime pie for dessert. I will eat with my grandma and grandpa and my mom and dad. I am thankful for having parents.

Chase Ruhnow — First hunt your turkey. Then I’m going to cook it in the oven. Cook at 2 degrees for 3minutes. Take it out of the oven and put salt on it. Serve it with ice cream and carrots. I will eat dinner with my mom and grampa. I am thankful for being able to help my mom.

Raeleen Cruz — I’m going to get a turkey from the store. Then I’m going to cook it in the oven. Put it in the oven for 2 or 3 hours at 4 degrees. I’ll cut the turkey up for my family. I will eat corn and green beans and strawberry cake and jello. I will eat with my mom and dad and sister. I am thankful for God for giving us food and water.

Alex Anders — ­Get your turkey from Walmart. Then cook it in the oven for 5 minutes for really hot. Take the heart out and throw it away. Then eat. I will eat with grandma and Susan and maybe daddy. I am thankful for everything in the whole wide galaxy.

Stone Johnson — First, get the turkey from Fairway. Then cook the turkey in the oven for 10 hours and it will be 99 degrees. Then I would put some salt pepper on the turkey. Maybe have some garlic bread on the turkey. Then I would put some um, maybe some, hmmmm .......eat it with a fork and then I’ll put it on a plate. I will share it with everyone. I will have some spaghetti maybe. Maybe I’ll have a push-up. All of my family will eat it. I am thankful for food, water, school, babysitters, and Lauren and Olivia and Mrs. Foley and all the other teachers.
