Preparing the Thanksgiving dinner can be intimidating. Fortunately, first graders at Cambridge Elementary School are turkey experts, and they are willing to share their tips. These recipes are from the students of Lori Foley and Christi Reed. We are publishing them over four days, from Monday through Thursday. This are Tuesday's recipes.

These recipes are from the students of Lori Foley and Christi Reed. We are publishing them over four days, from Monday through Thursday.

Lanaya Wirth — Get the turkey from the store. Umm I’m going to cook it with seasoning and cook it in the grill. Cook it for 60 hours. Eat with macaroni and hot dogs and maybe for dessert the pointy brown balls. I will eat with my whole family at my house. I am thankful for the whole world.

Peyton Hays — Get your turkey from the woods or the store Then cook it. Cook in the stove at 20 degrees for 15 minutes. Put salt and pepper on it. Then eat it with bread and corn. I will eat my dinner with friends or family. I am thankful for my family.

Mason Kutsch — Get the turkey from the store. Then cut it up and take the bones out. Cook it in the oven for 30 minutes for 50 degrees. Eat the turkey with dad and mom and grandma and grandpa. I will eat apple pie for dessert. I am thankful for Jesus.

Leighton Nelson — Get the turkey from the store. Put the turkey in the oven for an hour for 7 degrees. Eat with butter and potatoes and cake. I will eat with Livvy and Lawson and grandma and mom and dad and sometimes my aunt. I am thankful for my cousins.

Sophia Nimrick — Buy your turkey from the store. Cut it up and put it in the oven. Cook it for 7 hours for 10 degrees. Eat with mustard. We have the green thing for dessert. I will eat dinner with Ella, Alex, mom, dad and Rizzo, Rider, Jackson and Sadie. I am thankful for my family.

Phoebe Mitro — Get the turkey from the market. Sometimes we stuff it up with some corn. We cook it for 78 minutes in the oven at 6. Then it won’t be that hot for the kids. We actually sometimes put some butter on it. Then we put some salt on it and then pepper but I don’t eat the pepper. Sometimes we eat corn and some apples, cheese, sometime cucumber that are my favorite. We have this whole dish it has a lot of stuff on it in a circle. I will eat with my cousins, my brother, my parents, my grandparents and sometimes Megan. I am thankful for God, Jesus and the turkey.

Josiah Hoste — Get the turkey from the store. Put salt on it or pepper and umm put it in the oven. Cook your turkey till it’s done. Usually I don’t know where mom cooks the turkey. I don’t eat turkey that often. I will eat with mom, dad, my brother, my sisters uhhh sometimes my cousins come over and sometimes we have a sleepover. I am thankful for my mom and dad and the world.

Kallie Carlson — I will walk to the...maybe Walmart and get the turkey and carry it home in a wagon. I will clean the turkey with water then I’ll put it in a pan. I’ll put 10 chunks of pig meat, 8 squirts of ketchup, 8 drops of pepper, 6 drops of salt, and maybe 8 carrots. I will cook it in the oven for 10 minutes at 86. We will have “mushed” potatoes, chicken noodle soup, and banana pie. I am thankful to eat with my mom, dad, sister, brother, grandpas, grandmas, my aunts and uncles.

Charlie Ceurvorst — I’m going to get the turkey from Walmart with my mom. I’m going to put it in the fridge until it’s time for Thanksgiving. I’m going to put just one dot pepper, 2 drops of salt, I will put 5 pieces beef in it. I will grill the turkey because my dad likes to grill. We will grill it for 5 minutes at 60 minutes hot. I will also eat, fries, ketchup, hamburgers and strawberry cake with cheese in it. I am thankful for my whole family because we are all thankful for each other.

Anna Doubet — I will get the turkey from Fareway. I will put spices in the turkey like a sprinkle of the red spice, ½ milk, a lot of steak in it, and ½ spoon sugar. I will put it in a bowl then put it inside the oven. I will turn the oven on “about” hot but maybe warm for 36 minutes. I will make some stuffing, warmed up carrots, and some pumpkin pie with Cool Whip. I will drink some grape juice, too. I am thankful for my mommy, daddy, my sister, God, grandparents, my dog, and many more.
