The Cambridge Fire Protection District has moved into its new building on Route 82 and is accepting sealed bids for the old district building on East Court Street.
How big are the lot and building?
The lot size is approximately 152 feet by 125 feet and houses a building with a community room, small kitchen, and lots of space where the fire engines and ambulances were stored.
When are the bids due?
Sealed bids should be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope and delivered on or before 5 p.m. on October 31, 2011.
When will be the bids be announced?
The bids will be announced at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Cambridge Fire Protection Community Room in the new district building. The highest and best bid shall be accepted at the discretion of the seller, which retains the right to reject any and all bids.
What still needs to be done?
The Cambridge volunteer firemen and emergency medical technicians are still in the process of cleaning out some of the smaller items in the building.
