To raise money for Andover’s 175th anniversary festival this summer, a pie contest and auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 14, in Luther Hall at Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover.

Orion Fall Festival’s best pie bakers will compete in the celebrity category, which also will feature chefs from restaurants and bakeries and other chefs from the area.

Mayors are invited to bake pies for a contest to determine which mayor is the best baker.
Members of the public also may donate pies for sale.

Al Stenzel will serve as emcee and auctioneer.

Pies are to be in Luther Hall by 6 p.m. Each entrant should bring a 4x6 card with the baker’s name and the recipe, which will be put in a pie cookbook for sale at the celebration.

Individual pie slices will be sold during the evening.

To enter a pie or to get more information, phone (309) 476-8228.
