The Henry and Stark County Health Department announces that members of
its staff recently attended a Social Media Training.
Members of the Ridgewood dance team performed one of their competition routines during halftime of the varsity boys basketball game Friday night, Jan. 27, at AlWood High School. The members are Jazmine Toribio, Taylor Reed, Marissa Underwood, Katie Stevenson, Olivia McDonough,Hanna Swanson, Kendall McKie and Kaylen Stromquist.
Cambridge first grade students enjoyed their own Super Bowl™ party Friday, Feb. 3, at the elementary school. The students had to answer questions about Penguins. If they had the correct answer, they were given a treat and got to move their football down the field. First grade teacher Christi Reed was one of the referees. First grade teacher Nikki Ernst passed out the treats. Competing against each other were Rachel Stropes and Brooklyn Johnson. Friday was also pajama day in the two classrooms.
Tuesday, Feb. 21, is the registration deadline for spring soccer, which Cambridge Youth Sports League will offer beginning Saturday, April 14, for six weeks.
Five area high-school students have been named “Good Citizens” by the Geneseo Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The students will be honored Sunday, Feb. 12, at a 1 p.m. Youth Awards Day ceremony at the Geneseo Community Center.

will now be offering Monthly CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Certification Classes. The Department will offer both a Medical CPR Class
and a Non-Medical CPR Class.
MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company has announced its agreement to acquire the 81-megawatt Bishop Hill II wind project from Invenergy Wind LLC. The project, under construction north of Bishop Hill, will feature 50 General Electric 1.62-megawatt wind turbines.

Ridgewood Lady Spartans finished fifth in the Lincoln Trail Conference Tournament Saturday, Jan. 21, defeating West Central.
First and second grade classes held a sticker contest Friday, Jan. 27, at the Cambridge Elementary School. Students from each class had to put 100 stickers on their teacher the fastest. Chad Hamerlinck’s class won the contest between the four classes.
