Bernice (Dupre) Johnson, 77, of East Moline died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center East Campus, Davenport, Iowa. A memorial visitataion was held Thursday, July 29, at VanHoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline.

Private committal was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

She was born Jan. 16, 1933, the daughter of Kamiel and Irma (Buysse) Dupre. She married Joseph Johnson Dec. 15, 1951.

She enjoyed fishing and bowling.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose.

Survivors include children and spouses, Deb and Pete VanDerSnick of Orion, David Johnson of Moline, Dennis and Sue Johnson of Port Byron, Daniel and Jane Johnson of Newton, Iowa, and Douglas Johnson of Cambridge; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Painter, and a brother, Andrew DuPrey.
