Brian Norberg of the Ridgewood Spartans competed in the preliminary round at the state 3-point shooting contest on Thursday, March 11, at Carver Arena.
He connected on eight of his 15 shots, but he needed at least 11 to have a chance to go to the finals on Friday, March 12.
