Kourtnie Janson, sophomore at Bradley University, recently completed a strong second track season on the Braves women’s track team and was appointed President of the Braves Council, as well as being named to the Bradley Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the spring of 2010.
She was named President of the Braves Council, a group of athletes from each sporting team who get together and meet once a month to ease the flow of communication between athletes and administrators. As president, she represents the voice of all the student athletes at administrative meetings and attempts to close the gap between the student body and the athletic body.
During the 2010 women’s track season, Janson finished sixth place in high jump at the Kent State Doug Raymond Invitational with a jump of 1.53 meters, followed by a personal season best jump of 1.55 meters at the Missouri Valley Conference meet.
During the month of April Janson finished in a three-way tie for second place with a jump of 1.52 meters, followed by a sixth place jump of 1.52 at the Lee Calhoun Memorial invite at Western Illinois University.

The month of May found Janson placing third with a jump of 5-5 at the Pacesetter Invitational at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind.
