Curtis Wayne "Mr. Mo" Morris of Tampa, Fla., 76, departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, after a long illness.
Joan C. Girven, 83, of Port Byron, formerly of Galva and Cambridge, died at 4:56 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island. Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Marvin J. Medley, 92, of Woodhull died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2011, at his daughter’s home in Cambridge. Services were 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull. Burial was in the Woodhull Cemetery where military rites were conducted. Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Peterson-Wallin-Knox. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, for Kenneth L. Wongstrom, 97, of Hopewell, formerly of Geneseo, who died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Cremation has been accorded. The memorial service will be held at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Inurnment will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Hazel L. Barker, age 89, of Cambridge, formerly of Bushnell, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at the Hammond Henry Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Geneseo. Hazel chose to donate her temporal bones to help others learn more about hearing loss. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and private burial of ashes will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell is in charge of local arrangements.
Stephen J. Holden, 68, of Bishop Hill passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at his home. A memorial service was held on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Bishop Hill Colony Church. Martha Elaine Sward, 79, of Cambridge died Friday Sept. 30, 2011, in Green Cove Springs, Fla.

Dorothy A. Murphy, 90, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Sunday, Sept, 25, 2011, at the Bettendorf Health Care Center. Per her request, cremation rites were accorded.
