CAMBRIDGE—Mary L. Wexell, 72, of Cambridge died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at her home.  Graveside committal services was at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. "Bill" Leff, 66, of rural Altona, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at the Galva Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services with the Rev. David Pyell officiating. Burial was in the Bishop Hill Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. LYNN CENTER—Alma P. Lesthaeghe, 96, of Lynn Center, died Friday, May 22, 2009, at home. Rite of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion. Visitation was 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. May 26, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion, with a rosary recited at 4 p.m. Burial was at Western Township Cemetery. GALESBURG— Leland D. Morse, 75, a resident of Galesburg Terrace, formerly of rural Andover, died Monday, May 18, 2009, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the Maquon Cemetery, Maquon. There was no visitation and arrangements were by Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Cambridge.


 

BISHOP HILL—Bryce Milton Nordstrom, 85, of Bishop Hill died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, May 22, at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with the Rev. Dan Wright officiating. Burial was in Bishop Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Bishop Hill Methodist Church, the VASA Lodge or to the Bishop Hill Fire Department.

 

GALVA—LaVerne W. Wexell, 86, of Galva, died Friday, May 22, 2009, at his home. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Rux Funeral Home, Galva, with Russell Collister officiating. ALEDO–Bernice I. Larson, 93, of Aledo, formerly of Lynn Center, died May 18, 2009, at Mercer County Nursing Home. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at Swedona Lutheran Church. GENESEO—Mildred A. Sundberg, 95, of Geneseo died Friday, March 20, 2009, at Hammond-Henry Hospital Skilled Care Unit, Geneseo. Funeral services celebrating her life were held Monday, March 23, at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. The Rev. Dr. Arthur Bergren officiated.

EAST MOLINE— Mary Hines, 87, East Moline, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at her home.   Visitation was 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Graveside services were 11:30 a.m. Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery.
 

CLEARWATER, FLA.—Lucille S. Anderson, 98, of Clearwater, Fla., died October 10, 2008, near her daughter in Denver, Colo. She was cremated according to her wishes and a celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the Cambridge Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dawn Keenan will officiate.

CAMBRIDGE— Deloras A. “Dee” Wells, 85, of Cambridge, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Florida, Hospital of Lake Placid, Fla. She had been visiting relatives this winter in Florida.

BISHOP HILL—Wayne M. Johnson, 71, of Bishop Hill died Friday, March 6, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center in Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Russell Collister officiating. Burial was in Galva Cemetery.

CAMBRIDGE—Robert K. Frew, 87, of Cambridge, formerly of Geneseo, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Geneseo. Funeral services were Saturday, March 7, at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, where military honors were accorded by the Geneseo VFW Post No. 5083. Memorials may be left to Parkinson’s Disease Research.


 

OSCO—Trisha Ann Carroll, 63, of Osco died Saturday, Feb. 28, at her home. A funeral mass celebrating her life was held Thursday, March 5, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Colona. The Rev.
