Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the Cambridge Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dawn Keenan officiating, assisted by Rev. CAMBRIDGE— Ruby May Carey, 67, of Cambridge died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Trinity West, Rock Island. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Bible Holiness Church, Silvis, where she was a member. Visitation was 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13. GREEN CITY, Mo.—Samuel J. Vicevich, 52, of Green City, Missouri, came to be with the Lord on Friday, August 6, 2010. A memorial service to honor his life was held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, with one hour of visitation before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Mo., with Father Chris Cordes presiding. EAST MOLINE—Bernice (Dupre) Johnson, 77, of East Moline died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center East Campus, Davenport, Iowa. ELDRIDGE, Mo.—Richard L. Stover, Sr., 66, of Eldridge, Mo., formerly of Cambridge, died Saturday, June 19, 2010, at his home. Arrangements are incomplete at this time, and will be announced by Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon, Mo. At his request, his body has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be left at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

ANDOVER—Beverly "Bev" Ann Riordan, 73, of Andover went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 9, 2010, at home, surrounded by her family. LOVES PARK—Gretchen “Gertie” Lewis, 84, Loves Park, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at home surrounded by family. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, at Riverside Community Church, Machesney Park,  with the Rev. Bobby Sheets officiating. Visitation was held at the church on Tuesday, June 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. BETTENDORF—Virgil J. Palmer, 83, of Cambridge, died Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf. MACOMB—Violet H. "Vi" Poppleton, 84, of Macomb, formerly of Canton, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at the Elms Nursing Home, Macomb. Cremation has taken place and a graveside inurnment service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with local arrangements. KNOXVILLE—Linda Anne Lytle, 58, of Knoxville died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at home. Cremation will be accorded. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. On Saturday, July 3, everyone was invited to the family home and gardens for a celebration of Linda’s life at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Tom Larsen officiated. Bocce Ball attire (casual) was requested. A memorial fund is being established for the Linda Lytle Annual Award for the Members and Friends Exhibition at the Galesburg Civic Art Center.
 

DAYTON, OHIO—Brian K. Rushing, 55, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday,  May 20, 2010. Funeral services were held at Wednesday, May 26, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Dayton, with Pastor Charles McMahan officiating. Internment  followed the services at David's Cemetery in Dayton. The family received  friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Brian.

MESA, Ariz.—Curtis M. Edmund, 89, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Cambridge, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas, while on vacation. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services with the Rev. John Eisfelder officiating.  Inurnment services will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, with military services by Moline American Legion Post 246.  There is no visitation. CAMBRIDGE—Haley L. Harp, 21, of Cambridge died as a result of an automobile accident early Wednesday morning, May 12, 2010, east of Cambridge, while returning home from work. ORION—Virginia A. Anderson, 89, of Orion died Friday, April 30, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Swedona Lutheran Church. Burial is in Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Swedona Lutheran Church. Virginia was born April 6, 1921, in Kentucky, the daughter of Vandorn and Ora Floyd. She married Allen Simmon, and he preceded her in death in 1974. She then married Kenneth B. Anderson, and he preceded her in death in 1989.

George W. Toft, 85, of Cambridge died Monday, May 3, 2010, at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Inurnment services followed at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, with military honors. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

ROCK ISLAND—Jeffrey “Jeff” Seabloom, 48, of Galva, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at the Rock Island Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Monday, April 26, at Rux, Galva. Visitation was 11 a.m. until service time. Burial was in Galva Cemetery.
