Helen L. Peterson, 90, formerly of Cambridge, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at Hillcrest Home, rural Geneseo.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services. The Rev. Randall Swanson officiated. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Helen Louise Larson was born Feb. 20, 1927, in Moline, the daughter of Carl L. and Nina T. Franzen Larson. She was educated in Orion schools and graduated from Orion High School in 1945. Her marriage to Glenn E. Peterson took place on Feb. 27, 1948, in Orion. He passed away on Dec. 15, 1975.

Helen worked as an office secretary at Black Hawk College in Moline for several years until retiring.

She was a member of the Cambridge Lutheran Church.

Helen enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.

Those surviving are a son, David Glenn Peterson of Galesburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Donna Larson of Coal Valley; two sisters-in-law, Rose Larson of Red Wing, Minn., and Eunice Anderson of Geneseo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, her husband, and three brothers, Robert, Clayton and Don Larson, preceded her in death.
