Fannie B. Diemer, 95, of Pontiac, formerly of Saunemin, passed away at 2:29 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, with Pastor Mauricio Vieira officiating. Burial will follow at Sunny Slope Cemetery in Saunemin.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home in Pontiac.
Fannie was born Nov. 25, 1922, in Saunemin to Johnny and Elsena Johnson. She married George J. Diemer on Jan. 12, 1940, in Kentland, Ind. He passed away March 20, 2008.
She is survived by her son, John N. Diemer of Pontiac; grandchildren, Dale (Gera) Diemer, Doug (Lisa) Diemer, Debbie (Gordon) Kinate, Jeff Diemer, Joe Diemer, Jim (Karen) Diemer; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Diemer, Bryan (Elizabeth) Diemer, Peter (Katie) Kinate, Liz Kinate, Brady Diemer, Corey Diemer, Casey Diemer, Bradley (Jesica) Diemer, Tristen Diemer, Jacob Diemer, Sara Diemer, Lauren Diemer and Tyler Diemer; great-great-grandchildren, Brody, Kadyn, Kaleb, Bailey and Meredith Diemer and Nolan and Halle Kinate.
Her parents; one daughter, June Diemer; one son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Sonny Diemer; daughter-in-law, Mary “Liz” Diemer; and one granddaughter, Diane Diemer, also preceded her in death.
Fannie was educated in Saunemin schools and worked for J.C. Penney in Pontiac and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cullom and the Saunemin Legion Auxiliary.
A St. Louis Cardinals fan, Fannie enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. Her greatest joy was her family.
