    Brian K. Rushing, 55, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday,  May 20, 2010.

    Funeral services were held at Wednesday, May 26, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Dayton, with Pastor Charles McMahan officiating. Internment  followed the services at David's Cemetery in Dayton. The family received  friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Brian.

    Brian was a graduate of Bettendorf High School in Bettendorf, Iowa, where he  was salutatorian. He received his undergraduate degree from the University  of Chicago and his MBA from DePaul University.

    He was united in marriage to Susan Fannin in 1998 and worked as an IT  specialist for Electronic Data Systems in Dayton.

    Brian was a huge sports fan and attended Southbrook Christian Church in Dayton.

    Brian is survived by his parents, David R. and Marcia K. (Hunt) Rushing of Dayton; brother, David B. Rushing of Springboro, Ohio; daughter, Megan Rushing of Bellevue, Ky.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and  friends.

    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Byrel and Eunice  Rushing of Cambridge; maternal grandparents, Karl and Bertha Hunt of Bishop Hill; and uncle Robert Rushing of Bishop Hill.
