    Eileen E. Larson, 89, formerly of Cambridge, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Royal Oaks Care Center, Kewanee.             

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at the Cambridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Eisfelder and Rev. Lou Zuck officiating.  Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. 

    Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements. 

    Memorials may be made to the Cambridge United Methodist Church or the American Lung Association.      

    The former Eileen Carroll was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Kewanee, the daughter of John I. and Clara Mae (Stevenson) Carroll.  She graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1938.  Eileen also graduated from Sterling School of Cosmetology in 1959 and Black Hawk College, Quad Cities Campus, Moline, in 1979.  Her marriage to Robert Gray took place on Oct. 19, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa.  He died in 1958.  She married N. Albert Larson April 19, 1972, in Cambridge.  He passed away on July 8, 1995. 

    Her memberships have include the Cambridge United Methodist Church, the UMW Ruth Circle, DAR, Henry County Genealogical Society, Kewanee Historical Society, the Cambridge Woman’s Club, the Maryland Genealogical Society, and the Scioto County (Ohio) Genealogical Society.  Other memberships are the Flemish American Club, Kewanee, the Illinois Hairdressers Association and the American Massage Therapy Association.  She had been a practicing cosmetologist for 35 years.

    Those surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Georgia and Alison Strand of Galva; a step son and daughter-in-law, David and Nanci Larson of Boulder, CO; two grandchildren, Brenda Strand of Galva, Robert (Doris) Strand of Kewanee; a step grandson, Neil Larson; a great-granddaughter, Allyson Bullock, and several nieces and nephews. 

    Her parents, her two husbands, a brother, Eugene Carroll and a sister, Muriel Popadince, preceded her in death.
