Vote March 20 for service with respect

Dear Editor,

March 20 is a day coming up soon that we can vote for our next Sheriff. I am voting for Justin Lundgren and I encourage you to do the same.
Justin has always helped me and made himself available for my questions and concerns. Over the past twenty years I have known him to provide great service to our citizens. I have watched him work and interact with people. He is an advocate for service to the people and an advocate for service with respect. On one of the occasions where he helped me, he showed consideration for both sides and explained the circumstances and the law clearly. He treated all parties equal and does not focus on someone’s status in the community. He just did his job and did it with fairness and compassion.
As we have seen politics is not always about the facts and what the candidate can do. It is often about people looking to get favoritism for their vote. Justin showed me that he can work with the public, be involved in the community he has lived in all his life and still be the same person whether he is in uniform or just at a local restaurant with his family.
His record speaks for iteslf. years and years of service to McDonough County. He is the only candidate that has worked with three separate States Attorneys and four separate sheriffs during his tenure. As police chief in Blandinsville he solved crime while still being a part of that community. he also saved the taxpayers money while writing grants for in-car camera systems and public safety equipment. He trained young law enforcement officers all over the state for the Department of Justice training programs. Join me in voting for a fair person that wants law enforcement to prosper and put community first.
