Happy New Year from Cambridge Schools! There are a number of items that have been happening here at Cambridge schools. I would like to begin by congratulating all the Spartan athletic teams on their successes! We look forward to the conclusion of the winter sports and the excitement of the spring sports. Also don’t forget the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” on April 9 and 10, beginning at 7 p.m.
The board of education has also approved the installation of a geothermal system for the heating and air conditioning at Cambridge Elementary School. We are looking forward to eliminating the need for gas furnaces in each classroom and adding air conditioning for the elementary students. The cost of the project came in under the amount anticipated, which added to the excitement.
We have also continued to develop both college level and vocational classes in cooperation with AlWood and Orion school districts. We believe this will provide our students with a wide variety of options for them to consider in planning their futures!
As always, we thank you for the opportunity to educate your children and remember that this endeavor is a partnership between you the parent and the school district. If you have any questions about your child’s education, don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher, principal or myself. Remember: “It’s great to be in Cambridge!”
