The Art-Exhibition Hall has plenty of extra room for lots of new people to show their talents and a great chance to win money at the 2010 Henry County Fair.  If you enter just one item you can receive a discounted exhibitors ticket and that gets you into the fair all week.

To see what you can enter, visit www.henrycountyfairillinois.com to look at the fair book.

Outdoor projects have begun at the fairgrounds. Anyone is welcome to come and help. Big jobs and little jobs, easy jobs and harder jobs.

One of the first projects was adding lime and soil to raise the floor in the Millenium building. It’s too wet in there, and we have to keep the little lambs dry.

Good news! Our check from the state should be arriving “sometime.” We will be getting it. Hoorrah!!

Thanks to you donors and volunteers that have come forward to help in many ways. Don’t be shy, we still need help.

Ever thought of making the fair more than a one-day event vacation? There are several camgrounds and a state park close to Cambridge. Check it out! Could be a great time.

Did you know that Cambridge is on the bicycle route for cross-country bikers? We are listed in their biking literature and they can “camp” at the Fairgrounds on the way through. I have a tiny little bike I use, so now I will meet some more new friends. So exciting. I better get a helmet and biker shorts...have to protect myself.

The Geneseo High School woods class is busy making new picnic tables for us. So far we have six new tables with six more still coming. We’re going to look really spiffy this year. Materials are being donated by several people and businesses. I’ll let you know who they are when we’re finished.
