Only 59 days left until the fair.
There are still some places left in the Merchant’s Building but it is filling up more each day. Hurry if you want a booth.
We still need chaperones for the Teen Tent. It’s only from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night. Call if you might be interested.
J.J’s Posse has been hired to park cars and provide security during
the fair. He’s such a nice guy that he even gave us $500 back for this year.
Work days have been scheduled to start at 2 p.m. every Sunday. There will be work on weekdays and evenings sometime.s too, so call us if you are interested.
Week-long passes and Senior passes will be available at the Farm Bureau in Cambridge soon. Closer to the fair you can also get them at the secretary’s office.
Some items have been missing from the fairgrounds, in particular items belonging to 4-H kids. The police will be watching and so will the neighbors. If anyone sees something, call the police. A lot of people give their volunteer time to improve the fair grounds and we won’t tolerate theft. Specifically we are missing blue trash barrels, a horse bridge and hostas planted by the 4-H kids.
The fair board will be selling advertising in the form of sign banners both for the front fence and banners inside the grandstand. If you want the whole scoop with prices, please call Cheryl Johnston at 937-2491 or 507-1464 for more info.
So ... things are really coming together. There will be more surprises in next week’s paper.
Oh, there is still room in the Junior Miss and Queen Pageant, so hurry and get your applications in early.
