Little League from Friday
Illinois American Water Company had everything going its way in a 15-1 thumping of Bank of Pontiac in Little League play Friday at the Rec-Plex.
IAWC scored seven runs in the first inning and added six in the second in taking a 13-0 lead. Bank of Pontiac got on the board in the top of the third but IAWC answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
Trenton Blackwell led the IAWC offense with two hits and three runs batted in. Mason Schlosser also had two hits while driving in a run. Hayden Duval collected a double and three RBIs and Alex McMeean also had a hit and three RBIs. Anderson Horning recorded a hit and run batted in with Shannon Law chalking up two RBIs. Beau Hamilton also drove in a run.
DuVall got the win after fanning eight. Schlosser finished up with two strikeouts.
Aaron Verdun took the loss for Bank of Pontiac. He struck out one. Michael Hendershott finished up, fanning three.
Myles Gilliam tripled and Camden Fenton had a hit and run batted in for BOP.
First Financial 13, Precision Application 10
First Financial rallied after falling behind six runs to post a 13-10 win over Precision Application.
Precision jumped out to a 9-3 lead after two innings. First Financial plated six runs to pull even in the third frame. Precision regained the lead with a run in the fourth, but First Financial scorfed four times, with a Mason Rich homer as the highlight.
Rich had his home run and Carter Dronenberg and Jacob Fogarty each had two hits for First Financial. Jake Dewald, Boden Brooks and Jack Dalrymple had one hit apiece.
Brennan Edens got the win on the bump.
Charlie Sipe and Austin Scott led the Precision Application offense with two hits apiece. Chayse Knobbe and Seth Mund contributed one hit each.
