Youth softball from Friday

    Dewald Construction won a slugfest in Little Miss softball and Suzi Q's triumphed in Rookie Miss softball at the Rec-Plex Friday evening.
Dewald 16, Clark Hose 14
    Carley Schneeman collected two base hits in leading Dewald Construction to a 16-14 win over Clark Hose. Dewald was outhit in the game.
    Brinlee Dearth, Bevin Brummel, Bella Murphy and Bailey McArthur contributed base hits for Dewald.
    Kori Johnson and Leah Wilson each had two hits for Clark Hose, while Aubrey Edens had a two-base hit. Cassidy Fosdick and Alex Martinez contributed one hit apiece.
Suzi Q's 9, Sturms Seed 6
    Alyza Steidinger had a huge game in leading Suzi Q's to a 9-6 win over Sturms Seed Service. Steidinger had two doubles and drove in five runs.
    Helping the Suzi Q's cause were Isabella Hinz and Amelia Maier with two hits and two runs batted in apiece. Grace Murphy had a double and single and Payton Rogers and Emmalee Hammer each had two hits. Kenzie Fetgatter had a hit and received the game ball.
    Maggie Crawford had a good night at the plate for Sturms with a double, single and four RBIs. Kira Johnson had three hits with Ruby Sturms and Susan Berry each collecting two safeties. Alyson Trout doubled, Haddie Fearman and Tinley Henson each had a hit and RBI and Erin Singer and Kinsley Henry had one hit apiece.
