Sunny skies for grade school track meet

    Sunny skies and hot temperatures prevailed over the 2010 Annual Cambridge Elementary School Track Meet Monday, May 24.

    The results of the meet are listed below by grade.

First Grade

    In the first grade girls softball throw, Jordyn Murzyn was first; Tatum Miller, second; Kayla Gravitt, third; Lauren Anderson, fourth and Lilly Bergstrom, fifth.

    Payton Catour took first in the boys, followed by Brant Casteel, second; Bradley Wildermuth, third; Therron DeBackere, fourth and Gabe Mathis, fifth.

    In the long jump, Kendall Lewis placed first; Kaylin Grant, second; Isabella Tucker, third; Caitlin Sodeman, fourth and Rilee Gorman, fifth.

    For the boys, Jarrett Lund was first; Nick Janson, second; Victor Snook, third and Logan Segura, fourth.

    In the soccer punt competition, Alyssa Bailey was first; Emma Dub, second; Emily Wildermuth, third; Addie Dean, fourth and Annie Johnson, fifth.

    Sebastian Sharp won the boys competition. Colton Stahl was second; Kash Schnowske, third and Brendan Allen, fourth.

    In the 50-meter dash, Kendall Lewis placed first; Macenzie Ratliff, second; Kiley Martin, third; Olivia Akers, fourth and Isabella Tucker, fifth.

    Colton Stahl won the boys race. Peyton Catour was second; Brendan Allen, third; Logan Segura, fourth and Gabe Mathis, fifth.

    In the 75-meter dash, Tatum Miller took first; Kaley Martin, second; Emily Wildermuth; third; Jordan Murzyn, fourth and Lauren Anderson, fifth.

    Sebastian Sharp, won the boys competition. Jarret Lund was second; Kash Schnowske, third; Nick Janson, fourth and Bradley Wildermuth, fifth.

    For the shuttle relay, the team of Kaley Martin, Kiley Martin, Tatum Miller and Jordyn Murzyn took first. Second went to Kendall Lewis, Lauren Anderson, Annie Johnson and Lakoda Neely.

    In the boys race, the team of Bradley Wildermuth, Nick Janson and Logan Segura won. Second place finishers were Peyton Catour, Therron DeBackere and Sebastian Sharp.

    Christi Reed’s class won the tug of war.

Second Grade

    In the softball throw, Lilly Kessinger won. M’Shae Johnson was second; Mackenzie Briggs, third; Kennedy Nelson, fourth and Bradleigh Schaefer, fifth.

    Cady Franks won the boys throw. Duncan Hilligoss was second; Robert Sharp, third; Wiley Hart, fourth and Nathan Grant, fifth.

    In the long jump competition, Lilly Bates took first; Shari Vinstand, second; Grace Ford, third; Alexis Carlson, fourth and Leah Gapinski, fifth.

    Hunter Herbert won the boys long jump. Kaiden Vinavich was second, Wyatt Moriarity, third and Michael Wiley, fourth.

    In the soccer punt competition, Leia Thomson, finished first; Kalynn Webster, second and Breeanna Olson, third.

    Logan Nodine won the boys punt. Blaze Matheny was second; Caden Bowers, third; Issac Vincent, fourth and Riley Gustafson, fifth.

    The team of Alexis Carlson, Shari Vinstrand, Lily Bates, Lilly Kessinger and Bradleigh Schaefer won the shuttle relay. Second place went to Kennedy Nelson, Kalynn Webster, Kiersten Johnson, Breeanna Olson and Leia Thomson.

    Kaiden Vinavich, Kodi Stropes and Cade Franks won the boys shuttle. Second place went to Robert Sharp, Logan Nodine, Blaze Matheny and Hunter Herbert.

    Chad Hamerlinck’s class won the tug of war.

Third Grade

    In the softball throw, Nicole Kirlin was the winner. Maddie Nuckles was second; Madison Swanson, third; Kacey Braendle, fourth and Clara Happel, fifth.

    Cole Franks won the boys softball throw. Gage Miller was second; Carter Snook, third; Brian Anderson, fourth and Josh Dobbels, fifth.

    In the long jump competition, Jenna Stromquist was the winner. Elizabeth Ratliff was second; Taylor Lodge, third; Devin Fuqua, fourth and Emma Allen, fifth.

    Drake McDonough won the boys competition. Cole Piggott was second; Nick Gravitt, third; Anthony Anderson, fourth and Tanner Coziahr, fifth.

    In the soccer punt, Olivia Nuckles was first. Skylar Flood placed second; Karlee Nussear, third; Savanna Sullivan, fourth and Hannah Allen, fifth.

    Austin Reed won the boys soccer punt. Kaleb Buss was second; Nicholas Gainey, third; Josh Stinson, fourth and Christian Duckwitz, fifth.

    In the 50 meter dash, Jenna Stromquist finished first; Hannah Allen, second; Taylor Lodge, third; Clara Happel, fourth and Devin Fuqua, fifth.

    Drake McDonough won the boys race. Gage Miller came in second; Christian Duckwitz, third; Cade Nimrick, fourth and Carter Snook, fifth.

    In the 75 meter dash, Maddie Nuckles won; Elizabeth Ratliff was second; Olivia Nuckles and Karlee Nussear, tied for third and Skylar Flood, fourth.

    Cole Franks took first in the boys competition. Austin Reed placed second; Kaleb Buss, third; Cole Piggott, fourth and Nicholas Gainey, fifth.

    The first place girls shuttle team consisted of Elisa Raley, Skylar Flood, Kaitlyn Swemline and Karlee Nussear. The second place team was Madison Swanson, Hannah Allen, Taylor Lodge and Nicole Kirlin.

    In the boys shuttle, first place went to Cole Franks, Josh Stinson, Drake McDonough and Gage Miller. Taking second place were Austin Reed, Cole Piggott and Walker Guild.

    Annie Wood’s class won the tug of war.

Fourth Grade

    In the softball throw, Ashley Wiley placed first; Maddy Stevens, second and Lexi Wiley, third.

    Dakota Matheny won the boys competition. Mason Piggott was second and Austin Hanson, third.

    In the long jump competition, Laney Baylor was first; Hannah Akers, second and Alexis Weyland, third.

    Travis Kane won the boys division. Isiah Hansen was second and Riley Cauwels, third.

    In high jump, Mackenzie Coziahr was first and Julia Nail, second.

    Trevor Kane won the boys competition. Dalton Nimrick was second and Riley Nelson, third.

    In the shot put, Keanna Hilligoss was the winner. Laney Fuqua came in second and Lexi Boberg, third.

    Dawson Anderson won the boys competition. Justin Palmer was second and Maxwell Nuckles, third.

    In the 50-meter dash, Ashley Wiley finished first; Maddy Stevens, second and Jessica Green, third.

    Justin Palmer won the boys dash. Isiah Hansen was second and Drake Park, third.

    In the 75-meter dash, Laney Baylor took first; Emily Sullivan, second and Daisha Cecil, third.

    Dakota Matheny finished first for the boys; Riley Cauwels, second and Nathen Smith, third.

    During the 100-meter dash, Julia Nail came in first; Madison Gorman, second and Maisy Vincent, third.

    Trevor Kane won the boys competition. Maxwell Nuckles was second and Riley Nelson, third.

    In the 200-meter dash, Mackenzie Coziahr was first; Claire Lodge, second and Hannah Akers, third.

    Travis Kane won the boys race. Dylan Bailey came in second and Evan Sullivan, third.

    Brooke Murzyn, Madison Gorman, Claire Lodge and Hannah Akers won the 400-meter relay. Julia Nail, Laney Baylor, Laney Fuqua and Ashley Reinstadtler finished second.

    In the boys relay, Dylan Bainley, Maxwell Nuckles, Travis Kane and Trevor Kane won. Riley Nelson, Dawson Anderson, Mason Piggott and Dakota Matheny finished second.

    Bonita Vincent’s class won the tug of war.

Fifth Grade

    Peyton Grant-Witt took first in the softball throw; Tristen Walline, second and Ashley Yenor was third.

    In the boys competition, Brockton Reed was first; Kristofer Lookingbill, second and Jacob Dobbels, third.

    Alec Vinavich placed first in the long jump. Jon Thompson, second and Trevor Reed, third.

    No girls participated.

    Emma Steider won the high jump competition. Katy Bull was second.

    During the boys competition, Jared Smith won. Alex Owens finished second and Marcus Stiles, third.

    In the shot put, Hunter Nelson took first; Tori Ramont, second and Hanna Thompson, third.

    Alix Olson was the boys competition. Logan Brink was second and Alex Strand, third.

    In the 50 meter dash, Peyton Grant-Witt came in first and Hannah Lawrence was second.

    Jonathan Thomson won the boys race. Kristofer Lookingbill was second and Alex Olson, third.

    In the 75 meter dash, Abbi Wittmeyer came in first; Tristen Walline, second and Hannah Lawrence, third.

    Dakota Root was the boys winner. Wade Schnowske placed second and Alix Olson, third.

    During the 100 meter dash, Katy Bull finished first; Tori Ramont, second and Hunter Nelson, third.

    Jared Smith took first in the boys division. Jacob Stone was second and Dylan Swanson, third.

    In the 200 meter dash, Brockton Reed came in first; Cameron Woodbury, second and Alec Vinavich, third.

    No girls competed.

    Hannah Lawrence, Abbi Wittmeyer, Katy Bull and Tori Ramont won the 400 meter relay. Placing second were Tori Ramont, Slaina Anthony, Abbi Wittmeyer and Katy Bull.

    In the boys division, the team of Jacob Dobbels, Wade Schnowske, Alec Vinavich and Jared Smith took first and second went to the team of Marcus Stiles, Cameron Woodbury, Brockton Reed and Jacob Stone.

    Anna Swanson’s fifth grade class won the tug of war.

Sixth Grade

    Marion Lodge won the softball throw. Meagan Underwood was second and P. J. Hilligoss, third.    

    In the boys division, Ryley Rusk placed first; Caleb Sipp was second and Andrew Ruhnow, third.

    Jamie Franck took first in the long jump competition. Megan Reed was second and Katelyn Allen, third.

    In the boys division, Jacob Lang was the winner and Gauge Haley was second..

    Marissa Johnson took first in the high jump.

    Jake Swanson won the boys competition. Michael Walker placed second and Tristan Akers, third.

    Alexis Johnson was the shot put winner. Liz Keller finished second and Sami Casteel, third.

    In the boys division, James Dobbels was first; Wyatt Kirlin, second and Jack Wagher, third.

    In the boys 50-meter race, Wyatt Kirlin crossed the finish line first and Andrew Ruhnow was second.

    No girls competed.

    Marissa Johnson won the 75-meter dash. P. J. Hilligoss came in second and Alexis Johnson was third.

    In the boys division, Nathan Nimrick placed first; Trystin Staley, second and Jack Wagher, third.

    Katelynn Allen crossed the finish line first in the 100 meter dash. Meagan Underwood was second and Marion Lodge, third.

    In the boys division, Jacob Lang placed first; Tristan Akers, second and Edwin Stevenson, third.

    Jamie Franck won the 200 meter dash; Allison Meyer was second and Sara Vincent, third.

    In the boys competition, Ryley Rusk was the winner and James Dobbels, second.

    Megan Reed set a new school record in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:15.63. Meridith Logston finished second.

    Jake Swanson won the boys race and Caleb Sipp came in second second.

    In the 400 meter relay race, Jamie Franck, Marissa Johnson, Meagan Underwood and Sara Vincent took first place. The team of Selena Hernandez, Megan Reed, Allison Meyer and Sophia Sandoval came in second.

    The team of James Dobbels, Ryley Rusk, Jacob Lang and Jake Swanson won the boys relay. Second place went to the team of Gauge Haley, Caleb Sipp, Kyle Ford and Michael Walker.

    Chris Bulens’ class won the tug-of-war.
