The funds go toward the anti-bullying campaign to encourage student victims of bullying to know they are not alone and have support.

Any donations to the L.I.F.E. organization can be sent to the school in Woodhull and support is appreciated.

The Thrifty on 150 yard sales count is presently at more than 15, according to village trustee Tracy Peterson. Maps for the sales can be picked up at the service station, bank and pharmacy in Alpha.

The fire department volunteers will provide food at the fire station throughout the day as well as the AlWood Lions food stand at the location of the school where other vendors will be located.

The Mississippi Valley Quilt Club will raffle a quilt, and the $5,000 raffle to benefit repairs for the Alpha Legion Building, will be held just prior to the awarding of trophies for the car show.

In previous years, the car show has attracted as many as 200 vehicles.
