Phyllis A. Shaw, 59, of Cambridge, died Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice House, in Peoria. Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27 at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services. A visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cambridge Ambulance Service.

Phyllis Ann Bobinski was born May 10, 1959, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Frank “Bo” and Judith L. (Waymack) Bobinski. She was educated in East Moline and Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1977. Her marriage to Roy Shaw took place on Dec. 20, 1980, in Cambridge.

She worked for Case IH in the Quad Cities from 1977 to 1979 and then was employed at Rainbow Resources in Toulon for 26 years. Phyllis was the founder of the Illinois Stock Dog Association and had been a member of several dog clubs in the area. She had been a regional director of the Henry-Stark Counties Girl Scouts and also served as a Girl Scout leader. Phyllis was an avid Elvis Presley and John Wayne fan. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, watching movies, cooking, baking, playing games, and spending time with family and friends.

Those surviving are her husband, Roy; a daughter, Alesha Shaw, of Cambridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Mitch and Donna Bobinski, of Charlotte, N.C.; an aunt Janet (Ron) Seibring, of St. Cloud, Minn.; and a sister-in-law, Dawn Bobinski, of Cambridge. Other survivors include nephews, Jackson and Joshua Bobinski, of Charlotte, N.C.; a niece, Darcy Franks, of Cambridge; and a nephew, Guy Frison, of Bettendorf, Iowa. Her parents and a brother, Kyle Bobinski, preceded her in death.
