Lois Floming, 86, of Osco, died Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Hillcrest Home, in Geneseo. A visitation will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at Augustana Lutheran Church, in Andover, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Andover Township Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church after burial. The Rev. Reed Pederson and the Rev. Ted Radke will officiate. Vandemore Funeral Home and Crematory, in Geneseo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lois was born April 4, 1933, and was the oldest child of Clarence and Helen Wiese. After graduating high school at J.D. Darnall, she married Wilbur Spencer Floming on June 28, 1952. To this union two children were born, Janice (Tom) Devlin and Timothy (Peggy) Floming. Lois was a gifted homemaker, loving sister, trusted friend and great mother. She shared a cherished 66-year marriage with Will and was very proud that she married her Homecoming King as well as Will marrying his Homecoming Queen.
Lois is survived by her husband and children as well as sisters Lucille (Ted) Radke, of Mitchell, Canada; Jean Wiese Henry, of Clarksville, Mo.; Jane Wiese Tofanelli, of New Windsor; Linda Wiese (Peter) Gillet, of Geneseo; and Karen Wiese (Gary) Adamson, of Alpha; and sisters in-law, Laverne Wiese, of Texas; and Julie Wiese, of Geneseo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen; stepmother, Alice Wiese; and brothers, Richard and Mark.
