Illinois American Water Company and Clark Hose braved the weather and the competition as each posted wins in league play Wednesday at the Rec-Plex.
The weather was threatening for the early games but disipated quickly.
IAWC put together big innings in a 14-1 win over Route 66 Nutrition. IAWC scored four runs in the second inning and put up five in the third and five more in the fourth frames.
Route 66 Nutrition got its run in the third.
Trenton Blackwell had two doubles and drove in four runs for IAWC. Alex McMeen contributed two hits and two RBIs and Brayden Stroh also had two hits. Hayden DuVall contributed a double and two RBIs. Shannon Law and Parker Gray also had a hit and two RBIs apiece. Mason Schlosser also singled.
DuVall got the win with eight strikeouts in three innings. Schlosser fanned two in one inning of relief.
Zechariah Landstrom struck out four for Route 66. Nolan Mennenga and Cayden Masching each struck out two in relief.
Masching had two hits and Tommy Oestmann had a hit and RBI.
Clark Hose collected seven base hits in posting a 10-4 win over Dewald Construction in Little Miss softball.
Aubry Edens and Leah Wilson each had two hits for Clark Hose. Natalie Taylor, Hailey Shelton and Kora Edens each had one hit.
Bailey McArthur led Dewald with two hits while McKenna Woodcock and Carley Schneeman each had one safety.
Fraher Ford scored all its runs in one inning in driving past Wright’s Furniture 5-0 on Tuesday.
A five-run second was all the scoring in the game.
Marco Casillas had a double and single and Cale Christensen singled twice to pace the Fraher Ford offense. Aden Brummel homered while Jackson Dukes, Evan Wolfe, Jace Bauman, Wyatt Williams, Atticus Dukes and Bryce Rock each singled.
Cole Donze and Durham Fenton each doubled for Wright’s. Logan Mackinson and Michael Viti each singled.
