Area softball from Thursday, with Dwight and Fieldcrest

Three pitchers were used as Dwight reached the 20-win plateau by overpowering Iroquois West 22-1 in a Sangamon Valley Conference softball victory Thursday.
Leah Flynn got the start and allowed a run in the first inning. That was all the Raiders got for the game.
Macey Rodosky came on in the second and Abby Edwards finished up. In all, the trio allowed a run, two hits and three walks. They also collectively struck out seven Raiders.
Edwards doubled home Taylor Anderson in the first inning as DTHS started its run to its 10th SVC win of the season. Rodosky drove in Edwards with a base hit, Flynn had an RBI single and Abby Houch walked to force in a run as the Trojans scored seven times the first time through the lineup.
LynnDee Hale singled in two runs and Edwards belted a three-run homer to cap the 10-run first inning.
Dwight scored 12 runs in the third inning. Edwards homered again, this time a two-run shot after Anderson had doubled home Hale. Rodosky followed in kind as the Trojans went yard back-to-back. Flynn, Morgan Zabel and Haley Schlawbowske also drove in runs in the inning.
Edwards had four hits, including her two roundtrippers, and seven RBIs to lead the DTHS attack. Rodosky also had four hits and drove in three runs. Anderson had three hits while Hale and Schlabowske each contributed two hits. Kaitlyn Masching, Flynn, Houch and Zabel each had one hit.
The win gave the Trojans a 10-0 record in the SVC and 20-6 overall.
Pontiac 1, Lincoln 0
Sydney Barnett was only provided with an unearned run as support, but it didn't matter to the sophomore who tossed a two-hitter in a shortened junior varsity game Thursday evening.
Barnett struck out six in four innings as the Indians won 1-0. That one tally came in the first inning when Alyssa Fox reached on an error and was on third when Peyton Trost came to bat.
Fox scored on a passed ball and then Trost singled, which was the lone safety for the Indians.
Fieldcrest 10, Dee-Mack 0
MINONK — Emma Lorton was solid in the circle as Fieldcrest shut out Dee-Mack 10-0 in a Heart of Illinois Conference softball makeup contest Thursday at Veterans Park.
Lorton struck out 11 in the five-inning game.
Paige Sons had three doubles to key the Knights on offense. Lexi Jochums and Kimberly Turner each had two hits while Addie Goodrich and Jacie Sullivan each doubled.
